Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans may change, and unexpected circumstances can arise. This Trip Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions related to the cancellation of trips booked through our website, fishingandfuncancun.com (“Website”).

1. Cancellation by Participants

A. Cancellation Periods:

Before Trip – If you decide not to go fishing for whatever reason, and you are 8 days or greater away from the date of your trip, we will refund your purchase. Please be courteous and give us as much notice as you can if you decide not to use our services or want to cancel the trip.

No Show – If you do not show up for your fishing charter and we cannot get a hold of you the day of, you will be charged the full amount of your fishing trip. No refunds apply.

While At Sea – If for some reason we are offshore fishing and sea conditions become rough enough to where the captain makes the call and starts heading back in, you will only be charged for the amount of time you were on the boat. The rate is $200 per trip hour plus tip.

Fish Catch Guarantee – With fishing, there are NO guarantees concerning the number of fish or the species you will catch or will be able to keep. Full or partial refunds will not be made based on the species of fish caught during the trip.

B. Cancellation Process:

  • Participants must notify us of the cancellation in writing via email at info@fishingandfuncancun.com.
  • Changes made the day of your charter need to be communicated in writing via text message or email.
  • The effective date of the cancellation will be the date we receive the written notification.

2. Cancellation by Fishing and Fun in Cancun

  • We reserve the right to cancel or modify trips due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, government actions, or other events beyond our control.
  • In such cases, participants will be offered the option to reschedule their trip or receive a full refund, minus any non-refundable fees.

3. Refund Process

A. Refund Timing:

  • Refunds will be processed within 2 business days from the date of the cancellation request.

B. Refund Method:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during the booking process.

4. Non-Refundable Fees

Deposit and Booking Fees:

  • Any non-refundable fees, such as booking fees or deposits, will be clearly communicated during the booking process.

Equipment Damage or Loss

  • You are responsible for loss or damage you do to equipment that belongs to the boat and must be replaced in kind at market value determined by the captain.

Captain/Owner or replacement cost.

  • You are also responsible for any damages you or your party may do to the boat, seat cushions, etc. If a piece of our equipment malfunctions, or exhausts itself due to circumstances beyond our control, you are not responsible for that.

5. Changes to Bookings

  • Participants may request to reschedule their trip, subject to availability. Participants must notify us of the changes in writing via email at info@fishingandfuncancun.com.
